When on a static shoot, if the bugs aren't trying to carry me away, you will find me up in my crows nest. In other words, I climb up thru the sunroof. If you do this, remember to try and sit on the sides of the opening. If you sit in the middle you may bend the steel of the roof. Also watch the gasket seal of the glass.
At this location, I have seen Deer, a flock of Wild Turkeys, Beavers, Wood Ducks and a variety of other bird species. The potential exists for viewing Moose here as well. I have not seen Moose while parked at this specific location, but I have seen them in the area, including a mother and calf.
This access spot to the marsh is an opening to a much larger marsh that parallels the road. There is a small section of marsh on the far side of the road (East).

The road at this spot is very wide and straight in both directions. Because of this, I feel it is safe to park with the drivers side up against the West side of the road as shown below. You can put the vehicle off the road a bit if you like, but it is not necessary at this spot. The road is a dead end into a business park. I have had semi's from both directions pass comfortably right next to me. Plenty of room.
Safety for you and everyone using this road while you are here is an important factor to remember when your vehicle may be on the main road surface.
